“One by One brings together architects and artists Agata Kycia and Jakob Drömmer in a joint exhibition that explores meditative craftsmanship at the intersection of craft and digital thinking. Presented side by side, their works reveal a deep commitment to repetition, materiality, and spatial perception. Agata presents embroidery, linocuts, and screen prints in which thread, cut, and print become rhythmic, meditative gestures. Her works transform recurring forms into textured, tactile objects that respond to light and shadow, lending flat surfaces a quiet, three-dimensional presence. Jakob creates large-format wood reliefs from numerous hand-painted elements assembled like mosaics or puzzles. Different depths and layers give his works a strong spatial effect and emphasize process, repetition, and craftsmanship. The exhibition title One by One refers both to the dialogue between two different artistic voices and to the shared meditative, repetitive nature of their work, which shows how careful, handmade processes transform simple gestures into complex, immersive experiences.” (translated with the free version of www.deepl.com/translator)
