Genghis Khan and the World of the Mongols

“2027 marks the 800th anniversary of the death of Genghis Khan, the founder of the Mongolian empire. To mark the occasion, the Museum of Prehistory and Early History of the National Museums in Berlin is focusing on this central ruler figure in a major exhibition and shedding archaeological light on the world of the Mongols, which is virtually unknown in this country. In the exhibition, high-ranking exhibits from half a millennium of nomadic equestrian life will be on display in an unprecedented variety. Archaeological treasures from Mongolia, many of which have never been shown in an exhibition outside Mongolia, are enriched by loans from Poland and Romania as well as from the Deutsches Historisches Museum, the Berlin State Library and the collections of the National Museums in Berlin. …”
